I found a place in Las Vegas where the machines still take coins and you get more than a few seconds of play for a couple of quarters. The place is the Pinball Hall of Fame. It is the quirky kind of place that you would expect to find in Las Vegas.
The Pinball Hall of Fame has over 10,000 square feet of vintage pinball machines from the 1950’s to the 1990’s. There are 200+ machines which includes some classic arcade games that are mostly from the 1980’s such as Donkey Kong, Ms. Pacman, Asteroids and Joust.
The museum is run by the Las Vegas Pinball Collectors club and all machines are owned by member Tim Arnold. Tim is a former arcade owner who retired to Las Vegas where he eventually opened the Pinball Hall of Fame. I saw Tim working on restoring a machine while I was there.
The Hall of Fame is run as a 501c3 Non Profit and all the income after expenses is donated to the charity.
I spent about an hour and a half playing all different kinds of pinball machines and video games. The machines are well maintained and in working order. I did find a few glitches in some of the machines but I am sure that they are on the list of repairs to do. It was a lot of fun and brought back some great memories.
This is probably the only place in Las Vegas where a pocket full of quarters can keep you entertained for a couple of hours.
The Hall of Fame is located about two miles off the strip on Tropicana. If you do not have a car you can get there by public transportation or cab ride.
If you are looking for unique experience or just to relive your youth check out the Pinball Hall of Fame when you visit Las Vegas.

I love this place! I went there for the first time in 2010 and had a blast. I really enjoyed the machines that spit out more than one ball at a time. They were challenging.

Gray. I have been meaning to go there for the last few trips and finally made it. I am glad I stayed an extra day and got to do some things that I wanted to do.
It is a lot of fun.
